BattleFin + GEM "To The Moon!" Charity Benefit
June 16th, 2022 | 5:30PM - 7:30PM | Intrepid Flight Deck

We are truly upset at the current situation that is happening in Ukraine. The team at BattleFin discussed ways that we can help and now we are putting our plan into action. Raising money, donating ourselves, giving our time and finding a charity partner like the Global Empowerment Mission that will deliver 100% of the proceeds we raise from the event to the citizens of Ukraine.

We are now accepting donations, as well as looking for 4 diamond level sponsors who will help us cover the costs of the reception so that we can have 100% of ticket sales, silent auction proceeds, and other donations go to the Global Empowerment Mission and their efforts to help the citizens of the Ukraine.

Global Empowerment Mission

Global Empowerment Mission is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization founded in 2011 as a first responder to global disasters. For two decades, the team has assisted in over 295 missions around the world since the 1999 Kosovo Crisis, including the earthquake in Haiti in 2010 to the current 2020 pandemic.

In 2017, G.E.M. began operating alongside Bethenny Frankel’s #BStrong initiative, which fills this need by supplying unrestricted cash card distributions allowing beneficiaries to meet their individual needs. This partnership disrupts disaster response while activating and influencing the global community by going above and beyond real time emergency assistance to individuals and their families. Current initiatives benefit the crisis in Ukraine, including providing food, clothing, emergency shelter, and other non-military supplies to displaced civilians.

G.E.M. name and registered trademark are used with its permission, which in no way constitutes an endorsement, express or implied, of any product, service, company, individual or political position.

The dance-hip-hop group is best known for singles which included “Gonna Make You Sweat (Everybody Dance Now),” “Just a Touch of Love,” “Here We Go (Let’s Rock & Roll),” and many more. The group has gone through several group members over the years and after their formation, they released their debut studio album, “Gonna Make You Sweat,” which peaked at number 2 on the Billboard’s Top 200 albums charts. The album also was released with their debut single of the same name. The single, Gonna Make You Sweat went on to sell over a million copies and earned certified platinum. Some of their other singles include “Keep It Comin’ (Dance Till You Can’t Dance No More),” “Do You Wanna Get Funky,” and more. Rob Base

Best-known for his 1988 platinum hip-hop classic, "It Takes Two," Rob Base (with the late DJ E-Z Rock) rode his hit into R&B radio stations and dance clubs, providing a touchstone for the style known as hip-house. After leaping several hurdles - vicious rumors about his personal life and additional legal battle - he responded in 1989 with his solo release, The Incredible Base, considered an all-around classic record. Rob followed that record with Break Of Dawn, featuring one of Rob’s hardest hits "Symphony," as well as his party anthem, "Get Your Hands Up".

Today, Rob Base remains one of the most popular rap stars of all time and has fans all over the world. Even though Rob has sold millions and millions of records, he is one of the most down to earth artists you’ll ever meet, and that’s why his fans adore him so much. With his music being played all around the world, Rob has maintained a humble mindset and still gives his fans a great show.

How Can You Help?

100% of proceeds from this event, specifically donation items and silent auction purchases, will benefit the Global Empowerment Mission. Post-event, expect a 501(c)(3) notice of tax exemption indicating the value of your donation and the information to submit for tax purposes.

We are also looking for 4 diamond level sponsors who will help us cover the costs of the reception so that we can have 100% of ticket sales, silent auction proceeds, and other donations go to the Global Empowerment Mission and their efforts to help the citizens of the Ukraine.

If your budget for the year is used up, we are also requesting silent auction items that will be seen as in-kind gifts and auctioned off to the highest bidder at the event. It could be a fancy dinner, a private party, a bag, jewelry, or unique experience - anything and everything will help. For more information on donating an item or experience to the silent auction, please email jordan@battlefin.com.
