Aravind is currently the Head of System design of “Inchcape Worldofports” a shipping intelligence platform providing global port information, vessel and commodity tracking, analytics & insights for decision making in Maritime risk management and assurance, Commodity trading, Vessel management and Financial institutions.

Before joining Inchcape, Aravind was a Master Mariner with 25 years of work experience which includes 15 years of sailing experience across different vessel fleets and ranks. He has 10 years of shore experience in ship building, voyage management, vetting, shipping data information and intelligence.

Aravind has received the professional certificate of competency for Master Mariner, earned his MBA in shipping and logistics, and holds a professional qualification from the Institute of chartered Shipbrokers.

Hemanth has an MBA from Booth School of Business, Chicago, and a B.S. in Computer Science from the University of Mysore, India.

John W. Miller is TDM’s Chief Economic Analyst, in charge of writing TDM Insights, a newsletter analyzing key issues through trade statistics. John is an award-winning journalist who’s reported from 45 countries for the Wall Street Journal, Time Magazine, and NPR. As a staff reporter for the Wall Street Journal, he covered all aspects of global trade, including the World Trade Organization, the Doha Round, tariff negotiations, smuggling, customs, counterfeit goods, global commodities, steel and mining, USTR, the EU Commission, bilateral and multilateral negotiations, key disputes such as Airbus-Boeing, and regulatory issues across the spectrum. He is co-director of the acclaimed documentary film “Moundsville”, which will be screened on PBS throughout 2020. John is from Brussels, and is fluent in English and French.

He has over 20 years of experience in the financial services industry. Tim was the President and a Partner at Lion’s Path Capital, a hedge fund strategy incubator where he allocated capital to 30 fundamental and systematic portfolio managers since the launch in 2009. From January 2006 until 2009, Mr. Harrington was a Portfolio Manager at J.P. Morgan Ventures where he was in charge of Global Technology, Media & Telecom Investments. From February 2002 until January 2006 he was a Telecom & Media Portfolio Manager at Sigma Capital, a subsidiary of SAC Capital. Mr. Harrington graduated from Columbia College in 1998. He was a member of the Columbia University Judiciary Board as well as a member of the varsity crew team.
